Zia's Quick 'Not Interested' for Youtube

Privacy policy · Updated October 27, 2026 · Public store build

The extension reads recommendation cards on www.youtube.com to add Not interested controls and follow the site’s visible feedback and Undo actions. When you choose an action, YouTube receives the normal feedback through its own interface. Page sweeps act on the loaded items you choose to process.

The extension stores hidden-item IDs, titles, channel labels, URLs, thumbnail URLs, page scopes, action times, the latest sweep and pacing preferences in chrome.storage.local. These records stay in this Chrome profile and are not sent to a developer-operated service. This is local extension storage, not Chrome Sync storage. YouTube thumbnail servers receive ordinary image requests when previews are shown, which can reveal the requested thumbnail and normal network metadata to Google.

Public builds omit developer log collectors and do not persist or mirror diagnostic traces. Brief console messages report generic action state without item titles or URLs. There is no advertising or analytics code in the package.

Use the toolbar popup’s Clear list to remove hidden-item and last-sweep records; pacing preferences can remain. Clearing that list does not withdraw feedback already sent to YouTube. Use YouTube’s available native Undo controls or account tools for that feedback. Removing the extension removes its Chrome local storage under normal browser behavior.
