Video speed controls are missing
The controller appears on supported HTML5 videos after video metadata loads. Empty players, cameras, live streams, hidden players and known preview surfaces are excluded. Start the video, then try again. Some sites restrict playback-rate control.
Z and X do not change playback
Click outside a text field before using the shortcut. Z slows playback by 0.1×; X speeds it up. Click the displayed speed to reset to 1×. Browser-internal pages and the Chrome Web Store do not allow normal extension injection.
Not interested did not finish
The extension waits for YouTube’s visible confirmation. A sent click is not treated as success. Stop the page sweep if needed, check the native card menu, and refresh YouTube after an extension update.
Restore and Clear list behave differently
Restore uses YouTube’s native Undo when available. Clear list removes extension records; it does not withdraw feedback already sent to YouTube. Native feedback and account settings remain controlled by YouTube.
Timestamped comments are missing
A video needs public comments containing timestamps. API limits, disabled comments and changes to YouTube’s public page can prevent fetching. Try the public/no-login path first. An API key or optional Google connection can provide another fetching path.
Google says the extension’s sign-in setup is incomplete
The OAuth client must match the final Chrome Web Store extension ID. Public store registration is still being prepared. You can continue using public fetching without connecting Google.
How can I remove saved data?
For Not Interested, use Clear list in the toolbar popup. For Timestamped Comments, clear an optional API key in its options and manage Chrome Sync or Google authorization in your Google settings. Removing an extension clears its ordinary local extension storage under Chrome’s behavior. See the product’s policy for site-storage flags and shared public caches.
